The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) Management team had an opportunity to brief the newly appointed diplomats designate to Australia, Belgium, Italy and Turkey on the mandate of the Agency that includes promotion trade and investment as well enterprise development.

Speaking when he briefed the newly appointed diplomats, ZDA Acting Director General Albert Halwampa congratulated them on their appointment and stressed the need for them to work closely with ZDA to enhance Zambia’s economic diplomacy in order to achieve meaningful amount of trade and investment.

Mr. Halwampa reiterated the Agency’s multifaceted mandate of promoting and facilitating trade, investment and enterprise development in the country.

He stated that in line with the New Dawn Government clear and coherent focus  on  promoting economic diplomacy, the missions abroad are expected to collaborate with the Agency in enhancing trade, attracting investments and promoting partnerships between foreign and local investors for wealth and job creation for the Zambia people.

He assured the diplomats that ZDA has an open door policy and is available to support the missions abroad whenever called upon.

The diplomats included Dr. Elias Mushya – High Commission designate at the High Commission of the Republic of Zambia in Canberra, Australia; Mr. Sylvester Mundanda – Ambassador designate at the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Brussels, Belgium; Mrs. Patricia Chisanga Kandolo – Ambassador designate at the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Rome, Italy and Lt. General William Sikazwe – Ambassador designate at the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Ankara, Turkey.
