| Project Title |
22.5 Mw Kasima Solar Pv Power Plant (Mongu District, Western Province) |
| Project Description |
DanAon Renewable Energy Zambia Ltd is developing a 22.5 MW solar PV plant in Kasima, Mongu District, generating ≈45.5 GWh/year and connected to the Mongu Substation. The USD 20–23M project is backed by a 25-year ZESCO PPA at USD 0.08/kWh, offering 15% equity IRR. Zambia’s growing electricity deficit and industrial demand make this a strong renewable investment. The plant will create 120 construction and 10 permanent jobs, reduce 90,000 tCO₂/year, and provide community benefits. Investment opportunities include equity, debt/green bonds, and technical partnerships, with financial close in Q1 2026 and COD by Q3 2026. Contact: Prof. Christopher Chembe, |
