The Invest-Zambia International Conference (IZIC) is Zambia’s flagship investment promotion platform, hosted by the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) to position the country as a preferred destination for trade and investment. Launched in 2025, IZIC brings together global investors, policymakers, financiers, development partners, and the private sector to catalyse joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and bankable investment deals across Zambia’s priority sectors.
IZIC aligns directly with Zambia’s Eighth National Development Plan (8NDP) and Statutory Instrument No. 47 of 2023, with a strong focus on agriculture and agro-processing, energy, mining and mineral beneficiation, manufacturing, infrastructure, ICT and the digital economy, financial services, and tourism. The platform will combine high-level policy dialogue with practical deal-making through B2B and B2G meetings, exhibitions, pitch sessions, and structured deal rooms.
Building on the 2025 momentum, IZIC 2026 will shift from broad investment promotion to targeted, transaction-driven engagement, with a curated delegate base and a sharper focus on investment readiness.
The 2026 edition will place a stronger emphasis on pre-vetted bankable projects, structured deal rooms, sector deep-dives, and follow-on investment facilitation, ensuring measurable post-conference outcomes
The inaugural IZIC 2025, held from 16th–18th July 2025 in Lusaka, significantly exceeded expectations and demonstrated strong global confidence in Zambia’s investment outlook. The conference attracted 2,902 delegates, including 1,000 international participants from 69 countries, alongside 70 exhibitors and over 50 speakers across strategic sectors.
