The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) has joined the Greater New York (NY) Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America (USA) with the objective to ease access and engagements with businesses leaders in that country with effect from July 2023.
The ZDA’s affiliation is on an annual basis and will provide access to a network of over 30,000 members of the Greater NY Chamber of Commerce.
Through the Chamber, ZDA will take the opportunity to attract investors into Zambia’s key economic sectors and facilitate possible partnerships, joint ventures and business networking for the Zambian private sector.
Speaking during ZDA’s inaugural participation in a Chamber online event which also attracted participants from Serbia and the Netherlands, Acting Director General Mrs. Jessica Chombo, speaking on behalf of Director General Mr. Albert Halwampa, invited the Greater NY Chamber of Commerce to explore investment and trade opportunities in Zambia.
“The ZDA is looking forward to hosting a Trade Mission from the Greater NY Chamber of Commerce in Zambia,” emphasized Mrs. Chombo.
Meanwhile, NY Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Helena Natt confirmed plans by the Chamber to send a delegation of interested members. The Greater NY Chamber of Commerce membership opens access to businesses both American and globally who are affiliated to the association.
As a member the ZDA will be identified and validated as an association member that can be vouched for and recommended by the institution as a reputable member, available for business.
The Chamber offers different platforms on a weekly basis which provides marketing, educational and business opportunities for members to tap into. The services are offered both online and in person. At ZDA’s inaugural participation, which was online, members in attendance included representatives from the banking, construction, energy consulting, travel and international event promotion. Other international participants were from Serbia and the Netherlands.
Services offered by the chamber include complimentary educational webinars and seminars on growing business, legal consultation and expert business advice by professional staff.
