The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) has welcomed and expressed full support for the forthcoming Luapula Province Investment Expo, scheduled to take place in April 2026 in Mansa District.

In line with its mandate to promote and facilitate investment, trade, and business development, ZDA views the Expo as a strategic platform that directly aligns with national efforts to accelerate inclusive economic growth, drive provincial industrialisation, and attract both local and foreign direct investment.

ZDA Director General Albert Halwampa stated that the Agency recognises Luapula Province as a region endowed with vast and underutilised economic potential, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, mining, tourism, renewable energy, manufacturing, and value addition in general.

Mr. Halwampa noted that the Expo offers a crucial opportunity to showcase these investment prospects, present bankable projects, and connect investors to viable opportunities that are supported by Government policy reforms under the leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema.

“As the Government’s frontline investment promotion agency, ZDA will engage investors, provincial authorities, traditional leaders, and the private sector to provide technical guidance and support aimed at translating investment interest into actual projects on the ground,” explained Mr. Halwampa.

The Agency will further actively participate in the Expo by showcasing Zambia’s improved investment climate, investment incentives, aftercare services, and facilitation mechanisms designed to ease the cost of doing business.

Initiatives such as the Luapula Province Investment Expo play a critical role in decentralising investment promotion and unlocking regional value chains.

The Agency therefore commends the Luapula Provincial Administration and all stakeholders involved for spearheading this timely initiative. It encourages the private sector, cooperating partners, and investors to participate fully in the Expo.

ZDA remains committed to working closely with Luapula Province and all partners to ensure that the Expo delivers tangible investment outcomes, job creation, and sustainable economic development for the people of Luapula and Zambia at large.
