The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) has recorded US$ 6million worth of export leads and US$ 19,950,000 projected investment at the just ended GlobalExpo in Gaborone, Botswana. The Agency also won third place in the category of best country pavilion at the same expo which attracted 200 exhibitors from the region.
The export leads came from enquiries for maize, soya beans, sunflower cake, wheat bran, maize bran, groundnuts and beans. Meanwhile, the investment leads were from the manufacturing, the service and agriculture sectors respectively.
Nine Zambian companies participated at the expo under the auspices of the Zambia Development Agency.
The GlobalExpo is a premier annual event in Botswana which brings together investors, buyers and sellers from the region and the world. This year, the event ran from 1st to 4th November 2022.
