MINISTER of Commerce, Trade and Industry Chipoka Mulenga has described the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) as the Engine of the Zambian economy.

The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Zambia China Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (ZCCZ), China Commodities City Overseas Investment (CCCI) and the Belt and Road Joint Research Centre (BRJRC) of the University of Zambia to create the Zambia China Cross-Border E-Commerce Industrial Park.

The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) for the development of a Business Directory.

Zebra Manufacturing Zambia Limited, an Eritrean owned company is constructing a US$60 Million luxury five star hotel that will create up to 250 direct jobs and 700 indirect jobs for Zambians during the construction phase.
